  • Maternal uncle to author and director Nilu N. Gavankar. Nilu directed the shelved film Aankhon Mein Sapne Liye starring Janina and Samraat Mukherjee. Nilu is also the sister of Pete Gavankar (father of actress Janina Gavankar).
