Elisabeth's father was the actor Dermot Walsh and her mother was the actress Elisabeth Scott, who died of cancer. Elisabeth has a sister, Olivia, who is a ceramic artist. Elisabeth was educated at West Heath School, after which she became a receptionist for Michael Winner's company to earn money to go to RADA. She acted in the BBC sitcom Unfinished Business and Love in a Cold Climate.
