- He went to Aldershot School and played in the band with Sandy Horne and Derrick Ross. Rob Preuss went to Nelson Highschool in south central Burlington.
- He placed an ad in the newspaper looking for a keyboard player. Rob Preuss answered the ad after he had seen the band several times. At just 15 years old Gordon asked Rob to join the band. Because of his age Rob needed permission from his parents, Liqour Control and the Musician's Union to be in the bars and clubs where the band was playing. The contract stipulated that he wasn't to touch alcohol at all, be at the bar area, and the band wasn't allowed to have alcohol in the backstage areas.
- He was born Vancouver, BC Canada then moved to Lubeck, Germany. His father decided to immigrate back to Canada in 1967 and settled in Burlington in search of a better life for himself and his family.
