Is the lead singer of the Canadian band Spoons.

He went to Aldershot School and played in the band with Sandy Horne and Derrick Ross. Rob Preuss went to Nelson Highschool in south central Burlington.

He placed an ad in the newspaper looking for a keyboard player. Rob Preuss answered the ad after he had seen the band several times. At just 15 years old Gordon asked Rob to join the band. Because of his age Rob needed permission from his parents, Liqour Control and the Musician's Union to be in the bars and clubs where the band was playing. The contract stipulated that he wasn't to touch alcohol at all, be at the bar area, and the band wasn't allowed to have alcohol in the backstage areas.

He was born Vancouver, BC Canada then moved to Lubeck, Germany. His father decided to immigrate back to Canada in 1967 and settled in Burlington in search of a better life for himself and his family.

He is engaged to his long time girlfriend Megan Crockett who is 13 years his junior. Megan was born in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island and is a pharmacist and accomplished equestrian.

He taught Sandy Horne to play the guitar when she was barely 15 years old.

In his book Spoonfed: My Life With The Spoons he described himself as being the "quietest nerdiest kid in the school who ended up with the prettiest girl in the school.".

His family came to Canada in 1967 and settled in Burlington, Ontario.

He came up with his band's name Spoons while chatting over a bowl of alphabet soup.

He has a younger brother Gary.

His brother appeared in the video for Tell No Lies along with Rob Preuss's sister and Derrick Ross's brother.

He has a degree in psychology from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario.

He has 3 children.

Gordon is still very active with the Spoons and is also the guitar player for the British 80's band A Flock of Seagulls. Best known for their hit "I Ran", A Flock Of Seagulls is touring internationally.

The Spoons worked with international record producers including Nile Rodgers, John Punter and Daniel Lanois and are best known for their songs Nova Heart, Arias & Symphonies, Romantic Traffic, Old Emotions and Tell No Lies.
