Streaming Stars, Then and Now

Monika Deol was born in India but moved to Canada at a young age. She was raised in Manitoba and educated in Winnipeg. She attended the University of Winnipeg and got her start in the music business at that time. Later, she moved to Toronto and joined CITY TV as an on air personality on Much Music. She hosted the dance show Electric Circus for many years.

When Monika left Electric Circus some 35,000 people came to her
farewell final episode of the show.

In the 80s, she fronted the Top-40 band &quot;Perfect Kiss.&quot;

Since 2002, when she returned home to Citytv, she has
been a news anchor at Citytv Vancouver. (August 2006)
