Biography

Reginald Denham was born on January 10, 1894 in London, England, UK. He was a writer and director, known for The Primrose Path (1934), Lights Out (1946) and Suspense (1949). He was married to Mary Orr, Lilian Oldland and Moyna MacGill. He died on February 4, 1983 in Englewood, New Jersey, USA.

Daughter, Isolde, with Moyna MacGill. Isolde was married to actor Peter Ustinov with whom she had one daughter, Tamara Ustinov.

Acted on stage for two seasons with Sir Frank Benson's Shakespearean Company prior to World War I. After wartime service, worked as theatrical director from 1922. Joined Oxford Players in October 1923, appearing in several plays by George Bernard Shaw. Broadway debut in 1929, staging "Rope's End", the first of many hits. Active as writer/director for the screen from the early 1930s and as playwright from 1938.
