After graduating from UCLA, Demyanenko spent a decade as a journalist and photographer, honing his observational skills and cultivated a deep understanding of human stories. This experience culminated in the production of "Bastard of the Party," a critically acclaimed feature documentary that aired on HBO. Widely regarded as the definitive portrayal of gangs in Los Angeles, the documentary showcased Demyanenko's ability to tackle complex and impactful subjects.
