- Her father was wholesale dealer Oscar Dellert and her mother Elisabeth Blomqvist. Her parents divorced in 1936, when she was 11 years old.
- Her mother remarried in 1936 the 15 year younger man Sven Askell. After a divorce in 1966 she herself in 1968 remarried the 17 year younger man Nils-Åke Häggbom, who was a ballet-dancer at the Royal Opera in Stockholm.
