Jay Della was born on August 6, 1926 in East Haven, Connecticut, USA. He was an actor, known for Lethal Weapon 4 (1998), Suicide Kings (1997) and Conspiracy Theory (1997). He died on November 6, 2008 in Santa Monica, California, USA.

Longtime owner of "Chez Jay", a bar and restaurant located near the Santa Monica Pier in southern California, which was a noted celebrity hangout for well over fifty years.

When he came to Los Angeles to break into the movies, he briefly shared lodgings with 'Leonard Nimoy'.

When hospitalized in 1955 after attempting to rescue plane crash victims from Santa Monica Bay, listed his profession as "unemployed actor".
