Streaming Stars, Then and Now

Gorgeous Burlesque legend, and actress and model Venus De Light was born Lynn Wiegand in St. Paul, Minnesota. The blue-eyed blonde bombshell moved to California and studied acting at both UCLA and the Lee Strasberg Institute. She started her career in the entertainment industry as a house dancer in several Los Angeles clubs such as The world Famous Body Shop and the KitKat Club. By 1980 she landed a featured spot in the Penthouse Pet Revue on the Las Vegas Strip with her fire act. Not long after that she began touring the US and Canada with her 500k production featuring her own DJ and stage hands for her multiple giant champagne glasses, a light show, a revolving stage, pyrotechnics, a 16' Burmese Python, a 6' Boa Constrictor, an Albino Burmese Python (before Brittany Speers used one) an Umbrella Cockatoo and a Squirrel Monkey. She is probably best known though, for her dancing dummy ventriloquist act which she performed along with bathing in a giant champagne glass in Las Vegas strip revues Minsky's Burlesque, Playboys Girls of Rock and Roll, Hot Lips and has performed all over the world . A former publisher of "Cheri Magazine," Venus De Light won the Miss Nude Universe title and held it for six years. Dita Von Teese once called Venys "her idol" when she performed on one of Venus DeLight's Productions in Las Vegas named 'The Divas of Dance in 2000. Venus has been inducted into the Burlesque Hall of Fame and in 2024 the long running Burlesque X show in Las Vegas paid a Tribute to her with a new dance number featuring a dancing dummy routine. Moreover, Venus has also worked as a professional wrestler for such companies as California Wildcats, APL Wrestling, DT Productions and Sabre Studios. She appears as herself in the documentary "Stripper" and has acted in a handful of racy adult movies.
