After her first marriage, she married theater director Romain Deconinck. They also played together in the theater.

Yvonne left a lasting mark on the Minard Theater. It was her home. Lodge 25, on the first middle balcony, will forever become the Yvonne Delcour Lodge.

In 2005 she also played in the puppet theater production Chapeau Romain together with Jean-Pierre Maeren. It was an ode to her late husband.

Yvonne always remained committed to the recognition of 'her' Romain. For example, his statue in front of the Minard Theater was partly created thanks to her.

In each episode, Commissioner Kolder (Romain Deconinck) tried to solve a murder case with the help of his two assistant inspectors Gaston & Leo. The cast consisted mainly of actors from the popular theater, and so the show was played in dialect. But she also had a talent for dramatic roles, by the way. Her masterful performance in Friday by Hugo Claus was a good example.
