Rosa Del Rosario was born on December 15, 1917 in Manila, Philippines. She was an actress, known for Darna (1951), Darna at ang babaeng lawin (1952) and Border Bandits (1946). She was married to John Samit. She died on February 4, 2006 in Modesto, California, USA.

Half-Filipina, half-American mestiza.

Parents are Frank H. Stagner and Aquilina del Rosario.

First female actress to portray the fictional superheroine Darna.

Made her film debut in horror film Satanas (1932).
