Biography

Marion Degler was born on September 17, 1929 in Berlin, Germany. She is an actress, known for The Sound of Music (1965), It's a Wonderful Life (1946) and Spartacus (1960).

She is a famous German dubbing speaker of the 50s and 60s. She is the voice of Sophia Loren, Audrey Hepburn, Jean Simmons, and the young Elizabeth Taylor.

A teacher's daughter, she worked as a laboratory assistant before commencing studies at the Hebbeltheater acting academy in Berlin in 1949.

Became an Austrian citizen in 1961 and resides in Vienna.
