Lynn Deerfield was actually a contestant on the original The Match Game (1962) in 1969. She won $450. Her team captain was Burt Reynolds, whom Lynn later admitted she'd never heard of. She appeared as a celebrity panelist in 1976 while a cast member of Guiding Light (1952).

During one show during her week on Match Game '76, she said that while growing up she had two dogs named "Yam" and "Kipper".
