Wrote the music and sang in the family group "The Free Design" from 1967-1972. Although they weren't commercially huge at the time, their catalog was rediscovered in the 1990s and 2000s, leading to reissues and a cult following - which is how their music ended up resurfacing in shows like Gilmore Girls.
