- Christopher Dedrick was born on September 12, 1947 in Delevan, New York, USA. He was a composer, known for The Saddest Music in the World (2003), Jaws: The Revenge (1987) and Emily of New Moon (1998). He died on August 6, 2010 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
- Wrote the music and sang in the family group "The Free Design" from 1967-1972. Although they weren't commercially huge at the time, their catalog was rediscovered in the 1990s and 2000s, leading to reissues and a cult following - which is how their music ended up resurfacing in shows like Gilmore Girls.
