Peter De Vries was born on February 27, 1910 in Chicago, Illinois, USA. He was a writer, known for Pete 'n' Tillie (1972), The Tunnel of Love (1958) and How Do I Love Thee? (1970). He was married to Katinka Elizabeth Loeser. He died on September 28, 1993 in Norwalk, Connecticut, USA.

He married Katinka Loeser in 1943. They had 4 children named Jan, Peter, Emily and Derek.
