Lived in New York City, where she studied Theater in the Lee Strasberg Theater Institute, by which she is a trained actress in the Method, for four years, between 2000 and 2003. During this time she met and married her husband.

In 2002 she returned to Mozambique, her home-place, to shoot the soap A Jóia de África (2002) (Africa's Jewel) where she played Eugénia.

Son Kyle de Sousa Richardson was born in 2009 in Portugal.
