Sister of Anne DeMarco, Jeanette DeMarco, Gloria DeMarco, Terri DeMarco, and William "Billy" DeMarco.

Nicknamed "Granny" because she was the youngest of The DeMarco Sisters.

Her sisters felt Arlene's marriage to Keefe Brasselle led to her suddenly leaving The DeMarco Sisters. Since they were not able to replace her, the group folded. They never performed together as a group after 1956.

Since The DeMarco Sisters were not able to replace Arlene, they defaulted on a Las Vegas club contract. The club sued, and the sisters lost that suit.

Member, along with her four sisters, of the close harmony singing group The DeMarco Sisters.

Met her future husband, Keefe Brasselle, on the set of the Esther Williams film Skirts Ahoy! (1952).
