Biography

Norman Dawn was born on May 25, 1884 in Argentina. He was a director and writer, known for Lure of the Yukon (1924), Orphans of the North (1940) and For the Term of His Natural Life (1927). He was married to Katherine Dawn. He died on February 2, 1975 in Santa Monica, California, USA.

Norman Dawn was the first person to use glass shot in a motion picture, which technique is now known as matte painting and is being used heavily worldwide in motion pictures.
