Julia Davis was born on August 25, 1966 in Bath, Somerset, England, UK. She is an actress and writer, known for Nighty Night (2004), Love Actually (2003) and Camping (2016).

Has twin sons with comedian Julian Barratt.

Often works and appears with British comedy actor Steve Coogan

Born in London, she grew up in Guildford, Surrey, before moving at the age of 14 to Bath, Somerset.

With Nighty Night (2004) series one, Oprah Winfrey's channel took it on, so she must have liked it.

I think I am generally prone to exaggerating characters, taking them to a ridiculous extent. But you do also meet those people in real life who are just really awful. I don't deliberately hang around bus stations or anything to find odd people but Holloway Road is quite good for them - there are a lot of strange people wandering around Holloway Road - I don't know why.

I spent every weekend with my best friend, Amanda, playing dress-ups - until I was about 14, when she wanted to stop and I wanted to carry on doing it.

I would love to get a really good role in a film. And to work with other great actors and do more in the US. I have done a tiny bit of directing in the past - I would love to do more of that. And I would love to just finally make all the things I have written - I have quite a pile sitting here.

I worked in a supermarket and in the finance department of Bath University, which was the worst. It was so, so boring. All I had to do was check someone else's adding up. It was terrible. Those sort of places are great for mining for comedy though; if you borrowed someone's pen it was a complete outrage.
