    Jack Davis is best known, of course, as one of the "usual gang of idiots" on the contributor staff of MAD Magazine. Before MAD, Davis was an employee of Bill Gaines' EC Comics, known for working on war comics and the (now) infamous horror comics. Gaines, of course, turned to MAD after the Comics Code Authority pulled the rug out from under his other magazines.
