- Born in Strathfield and was raised by a single mother. She moved to Milton when seven, and then to Yass until the end of the war, then she and her mother relocated to Sydney. She started acting in Sydney theatre in the 1950s. Davidson worked for the Australian Elizabethan Theatre Trust and appeared in numerous plays, films and television dramas.
