Maude Davey

Davey has a twin sister named Annie. The family moved to Melbourne, where the Davey sisters were raised. Maude established a career spanning thirty years in Melbourne and other parts of Australia. She received her acting training at the Victorian College of the Arts, graduating in 1985. Following her time at VCA, Davey began performing on stage and collaborating with local artists and groups involved in musical theatre and burlesque productions. She later took on the role of director for her own shows, such as Fish! for the Rollercoaster Ensemble in 2017 and Mongrel in 2018. In the 1990s, Davey collaborated with her sister and artist-director David Pledger in Pledger's production Not Yet It’s Difficult. In 2015, the Davey sisters debuted their show Retro Futurismus.
