Collaborated with his cousin, <a class="ipc-md-link ipc-md-link--entity" href="/name/nm0497804/?ref_=nmtrv_trv">Manfred Lee</a>, under the joint pseudonym Ellery Queen.

For some works, the two also used the joint pseudonym Barnaby Ross.
