Streaming Stars, Then and Now

Jean Daniélou was born on 14 May 1905 in Neuilly-sur-Seine, Hauts-de-Seine, France. He was a writer, known for Oedipus Rex (1969), Oedipus Rex (1984) and Portrait souvenir (1960). He died on 20 May 1974 in Paris, France.

Titular archbishop of Taormina, he was created cardinal by <a class="ipc-md-link ipc-md-link--entity" href="/name/nm0691065/?ref_=nmtrv_trv">Pope Paul VI</a> on 28 April 1969.

Theologian and historian, he wrote numerous books about religion.

Buried in the Vaugirard cemetery, Paris, France.

Elected member of the Académie française on 9 November 1972.

Brother of <a class="ipc-md-link ipc-md-link--entity" href="/name/nm2712305/?ref_=nmtrv_trv">Alain Daniélou</a>.
