  • Lars Dahlquist Born in Malmoe, Sweden, 1950, Lars Dahlquist began his carrier as a project leader at Linköping University, where he had studied, running a large teaching-aids projects in collaboration with the Swedish Educational Broadcasting Company. Simultaneously, he was educated as a teaching-material producer and educational consultant in the field of film/TV at at the Dramatic Institute in Stockholm as well as the EU film school in Ebeltoft.

    As an independent producer, he produced his first film for Swedish television in 1982. Next, Dahlquist worked as a project employee at the Swedish Televison, as FAD, production manager, and project manager until 1988. Note worthy for these years is the work he put into the entertainment program and the sitcom Kurt Olsson, Fådda Blommor, which was awarded the TV Prize, Rose d'Or of Montreux; The TV series Sparvöga, a historical epic. The next ten years, Dahlquist was a permanent drama producer for Swedish Television. He primarly worked with the development and production of many television dramas and series and collaborated with directors such as Bo Widerberg and Peter Schildt. Among other recognitions during these years was an honorable mention in Prix Italia. In 1991/92, Dahlquist initiated the work with Colin Nutley's feature film, Änglagård, as a producer along with Lars Jönsson. The film was screened at the Cannes Film Festival under the title "Official entry, best foreign language film Academy Award" and received the Swedish Film Award, "Guldbaggen," as the best Swedish film that year. From 1997 to 2001, Dahlquist was film commissioner for short films and documentaries for Film i Väst in Trollhättan. From 2001 to 2012, Dahlquist developed and chaired, the Film Production Program at University West.
