Monika Dahlberg and Harry Hardt in Königlich Bayerisches Amtsgericht (1969)
Born Rosemarie Rödelberger, she trained as an actress and opera singer in Kiel. Active on the local stage from 1954 to 1957, she was then signed to a three-year contract by the Constantin Film AG in Munich. Appearing on screen as Monika Dahlberg, she featured from 1957 as supporting actress or second lead in a veritable slew of bucolic dramas, romantic comedies, musicals and fashionable 'Paukerfilms'. From the mid-60s, she worked chiefly in television, where she excelled in shows with a pronounced folksy Bavarian flavour, notably the delightful Königlich Bayerisches Amtsgericht (1969), Vater Seidl und sein Sohn (1976), Zum Stanglwirt (1993) and Chiemgauer Volkstheater (1992). In addition, she performed in concerts, singing traditional as well as classical songs. On the stage, she was a prolific interpreter of Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady. Monika also provided the German dubbing voice in films for, among others, Julie Andrews, Audrey Hepburn and Samantha Eggar.

Monika's brother Wolfgang Rödelberger was a composer, arranger and music producer. Her second husband was actor Klaus Kindler. She has latterly resided in the small town of Benediktbeuern in Upper Bavaria.
