- Mik Dahl-Mikkelsen was born on January 9, 1915 in Skive, Denmark. He was a director, known for Ferd'nand på bjørnejagt (1945) and Ferd'nand på fisketur (1944). He died on June 2, 1982.
- Created the pantomime comic strip "Ferd'nand" in 1937 for the Copenhagen Press Agency P.I.B.. Later published vividly in Danish newspapers and in New York Herald Tribune and Chicago Tribune.
- Emigrated USA from Denmark, became American citizen in 1954.
