Lynn d'Angona believes in the power of the shared experience of film. She has 30
+ years' experience working in film and television. She began her career as a 1st
AD, working along such directors as Bill Condon, Stanley Tucci, Steven
Soderberg, Terence Davies and Paris Barclay among many others. In 2018
d'Angona was selected as one of eight emerging directors for the WeForShe
DirectHer Program. Her directing extends to theatre, commercials, feature
documentaries and 2nd unit action sequences on a variety of feature and television
projects. d'Angona made her producing and directorial debut with the award
winning short "Lulu Askew" starring Stanley Tucci and Lisa Eichhorn.
Her producing credits include the independent features, Sheepdog, The Secret of
Sinchanee, Forge and The Mulberry Tree. d'Angona also produced and directed
R.I.S.K. a short documentary for NASA, chronicling Dr. Lynn Hatkle's
groundbreaking work in the field of cancer research, as well as the award-winning
feature documentary, "Between The White Lines".
The lens through which d'Angona navigates both personally and professionally is,
"the personal is political". What this statement means to her is that there is no
better way to make a difference in society than through the incredible influence of
storytelling. To touch your audience emotionally, to give voice to stories and
themes that otherwise would be silent, to tell a story that resonates long after the
lights come up, that is magic and truly powerful. A socially minded filmmaker, in
the summer of 2008, d'Angona launched Provincetown Cares, a non-profit
fundraising organization that mounts annual benefit performances on stage and
screen to support critical women's health issues.
