Biography

Polly Cole is an artist with a deep love for performance, photography, design, and music. Writing and directing films is an invigorating blend of those pursuits, and a natural extension of her previous endeavors in acting and photography.

While pursuing a classical education in film and theater at Vassar College and the Oxford School of Drama, Polly was never without the camera she had received from her mom as a high school graduation present. Polly's mom, Jane, was a talented pianist and painter, who passed away quite young from breast cancer, shortly after gifting the camera.

Following college, Polly worked congruently as an actor and photographer. She acted in theater, television and film roles while also having editorial photographs appear in a number of notable magazines and newspapers.

Melding her loves into a new form, Polly wrote and directed her first film, a short called 'Normal' in 2021. As of 2022, she is in the laboratory of ideas for a feature film to follow.
