Born in Hollywood, CA, Sonia Curtis began training and working as a professional actress at a young age. Her father, Howard Curtis, was a very successful stuntman and she grew up going to set with him regularly as a child. Although accepted into the prestigious BFA at USC, she had to forego school and go straight to work. She booked one of her first auditions on the prime time TV show Falcon Crest and also booked a recurring role on "Days of Our Lives." She played a role in the cult classic "Monster Squad" and several other feature films. After working and training for several years as an actress, Sonia was asked to teach actors in classes and privately which lead to her being asked to direct and co-produce several projects. She continues to hone her craft with Larry Moss who continually gives her a greater love and respect for the theater and great writers. In 2012 Sonia was nominated for best actress in the short film category at the NYCIFF. And in 2016 Sonia won Best Actress in International Film at the Melbourne Underground Film Festival for her role of Vera in "Stressed To Kill." Sonia is also a huge animal rights supporter and has done years of community service with inner city youths and returned to her academics graduating from UCLA as a political science major in 2010 with honors.

Sonia's Father, Howard Curtis was one of the stuntmen that did the famous stunt in "Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid" doubling for Paul Newman when they jumped off the cliff.

Returned to college in 2002 and received a 4.0 from Rio Hondo College before transferring to UCLA as a political science major in 2004. On the deans list and National Merit Scholar. Graduated from UCLA in 2010 in Political Science. Member of Pi Sigma Alpha (Honors Society at UCLA).
Sonia is an avid dog lover. She has rescued two Chihuahuas and has a Pomeranian, as well. She hopes to one day have a ranch where she can rescue more animals.
Sonia did her own stunt in the film 120/80 and was applauded by a very wonderful crew who told her she "made her father proud." Her father was the famous stuntman Howard Curtis.
