Trivia

  • Shot to fame as a comic impressionist when, on a radio show, he impersonated William Hague (a former leader of the Conservative Party) and asked to be put through to Prime Minister Tony Blair. To everyone's shock, he was put straight through, and despite having no prepared material, he engaged the PM in conversation for a considerable duration of time.
  • Took part in the 2005 edition (Series 2) of Comic Relief Does Fame Academy. He was kicked out of the competition on Saturday March 5th.
  • Appears on the BBC Radio 4 impressionist comedy show "Dead Ringers", also regularly appears on "The Chris Moyles Show" on BBC Radio 1.
  • Has been a comic impressionist on sketch shows such as Spitting Image (1984), Dead Ringers (2002), 2DTV (2001) and his own show, The Impressionable Jon Culshaw (2004).
  • Recently awarded an Honorary Fellowship in July 2006 from the University of Central Lancashire, Preston.
