Joel Crothers was born on January 28, 1941 in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA. He was an actor, known for Dark Shadows (1966), The Edge of Night (1956) and Somerset (1970). He died on November 6, 1985 in Los Angeles, California, USA.

He was a graduate of Harvard University.

His first role was on his father's television series - but he had auditioned for it under an assumed name without his father knowing!.

He was engaged to marry actress Veleka Gray at the time of his death.

While working on the daytime soap opera "Dark Shadows," Crothers also starred on Broadway in "Barefoot in the Park."He played Paul (the role originated by Robert Redford) for the last seven months of the Neil Simon comedy's five-year run. He played the role from Aug 29, 1966 to June 25, 1967.
