Biography

Crockett grew up outside of Chicago and after graduating from the University of Illinois, he worked in commercial production before landing a job on the Michael Apted film Blink (1994). Immediately after, he moved to Los Angeles and worked on a succession of films for New Line Cinema and Miramax. He joined the DGA in 2000 and co-produced his first film (The Guru, 2002) the next year.

Crockett line produced films such as Bad Santa and Stick It before meeting Ben Affleck in 2006 and executive producing his directorial debut Gone Baby Gone. From there, he went on to work with another accomplished actor/director Denzel Washington on his provocative period drama, The Great Debaters.

Crockett later returned to Boston to re-team with Affleck on his second film, The Town, which was his first to be nominated for a Producer's Guild Award. While in production on that film, he met Graham King and later went on to serve at King's GK Films as Executive Vice President of Production. While there, Crockett was involved with such films as Hugo, World War Z, and Argo.

in 2013, Crockett returned to independent producing working with such filmmakers as Rupert Wyatt, Gore Verbinski, Will Smith, and others. Most recently, he teamed with the creators of Downton Abbey in his first foray into television, executive producing the huge period drama The Gilded Age for HBO.

He has 3 kids and lives with his wife in Los Angeles.
