Domiziano Cristopharo is an Italian independent filmmaker, screenwriter and producer from Rome. He is best known for his work in horror, psychological drama and experimental cinema, often combining surreal imagery with themes of identity, sexuality and the human body.
His debut feature, House of Flesh Mannequins (2009), received international festival recognition and established him within the independent horror scene. Since then he has directed numerous feature films, including Red Krokodil, The Museum of Wonders, Dark Waves, Xpiation and Doll Syndrome.
Throughout his career, Cristopharo has collaborated with actors and filmmakers from Italian and international genre cinema, including Giovanni Lombardo Radice, Carlo De Mejo, Lynn Lowry, Ruggero Deodato and Frank LaLoggia.
