- Jimmy Crespo was born on July 5, 1954 in Brooklyn, New York, USA. He is an actor and composer, known for Aerosmith: Chiquita (1979), Aerosmith: Lightning Strikes (1982) and Aerosmith: No Surprize (1979).
- Replaced Joe Perry as Aerosmith's lead guitarist in 1979. Left the band with Rick Dufay in 1984 when Perry and Brad Whitford re-joined.
- Played guitar on Aerosmith's Rock In A Hard Place album from 1982. Also played limited parts on the Night in the Ruts album from 1979.
- In addition to Aerosmith, has played with Flame, Billy Squier, Lita Ford, and Rod Stewart.
- Currently plays in 2 bands - Aeromyth, an Aerosmith tribute band (predominately California-based), and his new band, The Jimmy Crespo Project (which is mostly Vegas-based but will tour eventually). Both bands feature vocalist Chris Van Dahl, formerly of LA Guns.
- A frequent guest of the Sin City Sinners, a Las Vegas-based hard rock band that includes former Faster Pussycat guitarist Brent Muscat.
