Biography

Jack Crawford was born on March 4, 1847 in County Donegal, Ireland. He was an actor and writer, known for The Corporal's Daughter (1915) and The Battle Cry of Peace (1915). He was married to Maria Stokes. He died on February 27, 1917 in Woodhaven, Long Island, New York, USA.

Wrote about the frontier experience in hundreds of short stories, songs, poems and plays.

Star of Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show.

Fought and was wounded in the Civil War.

Children: Eva Lenor (28 June 1870 - 1948), Harry Wallace (19 August 1871 - 1945) and May Cody (22 May 1882 - 1886).
