Biography

Sarah Cracknell was born on April 12, 1965 in Chelmsford, Essex, England, UK. She is an actress and composer, known for But I'm a Cheerleader (1999), Volver (2006) and Zoolander (2001). She has been married to Martin Kelly since December 5, 2004. They have two children.

Daughter of Derek Cracknell

Shortly after Sarah was born, she was considered by director Stanley Kubrick to appear on screen as the infant "Star Child" in his film "2001: A Space Odyssey", on which her father Derek Cracknell was working as Kubrick's first assistant director. Kubrick eventually decided to use a doll for the part.

Sometimes credited as Saint Etienne.

Debbie Harry was a major influence on me. I think it's no huge secret that I wanted to be her. Her image in particular was just so iconic. It's quite amazing, she somehow managed to be really edgy, maintain a strong stance and persona and also look really stunning.
