- Jerome Courtland was born on December 27, 1926 in Knoxville, Tennessee, USA. He was a director and actor, known for Kiss and Tell (1945), Together Again (1944) and Pete's Dragon (1977). He was married to Marlene Juttner, Janet Rose Gumprecht and Polly Bergen. He died on March 1, 2012 in Santa Clarita Valley, California, USA.

- Talked into a screen test by Columbia director Charles Vidor and subsequently signed to a seven-year contract. Appeared as a gangling juvenile in several 1940's comedies, before wartime military service in the Pacific Theater. Continued to act after the war, initially on Broadway, then increasingly drawn towards television. Later switched to directing and producing for Disney, Screen Gems and Aaron Spelling Productions.
