The Fort Covington Sun newspaper in 1947 stated she and Cheryl Archer were "the nation's highest paid and most popular 'cover girls' whose faces are known throughout the world." Francine piled up a sizable income in 1946 and by 1947 was receiving $20 an hour.

From her first marriage to Robert J Riordan. She had a son Robert J. Riordan Jr. who was born October 11, 1936. She also had a daughter Francine Lynn Riordan who was born in 1940.

Her former husband Robert Riordan was the son of a banker. They honeymooned in Bermuda.

Her grandchildren are John Daniel Hickey, Jacqui Riordan, William Hickey, and Virginia Riordan.
