Paul Cottingham was born on December 1, 1963 in Bridgend, Mid Glamorgan, Wales, UK. He was an actor, known for The Lost Language of Cranes (1991), Heaven's a Drag (1994) and This Life (1996). He was married to Michael Cashman. He died on October 23, 2014 in London, England, UK.

He had worked with a number of organizations aiming to further gay rights in the UK, such as the Kaleidoscope Trust.
