  • Desideria Corridoni, professionally known as Desiree, is a renowned Italian Hair & Wig Designer born in Rome into a prestigious family of cinema professionals. Niece and student of legendary hairstylist Maria Teresa Corridoni, who worked on iconic films including Death in Venice, Ludwig and Once Upon a Time in America. Desiree made her film debut in Federico Fellini's City of Women, then went on to work on major international productions. She has collaborated with Academy Award-winning actors including Heath Ledger, Hilary Swank, Maggie Smith, Cher, Judi Dench and Christopher Walken, working with renowned directors such as Jean-Jacques Annaud (Seven Years in Tibet), Franco Zeffirelli (Tea with Mussolini) and Terry Gilliam (The Brothers Grimm). Her career reached its peak as Hair & Wig Designer for Sofia Coppola's Marie Antoinette (2006), where she revolutionized period hairstyle by reinterpreting 18th-century styles with a Modern style". She received a BAFTA nomination. Desiree has received two Emmy Award nominations for her television work on Cleopatra and My House in Umbria. In 2023 she won the David di Donatello for Best Hairstyling for Michele Placido's The Shadow of Caravaggio and in 2025 received a David di Donatello nomination for Berlinguer, The Great Ambition She has worked on blockbusters such as Mel Gibson's The Passion of the Christ, The Brothers Grimm, Casanova, Ocean's Twelve and Mission: Impossible III. She worked on Roman Polanski's film The Palace (Venice Film Festival 2023), and on the Netflix series The Leopard based on the novel by Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa, directed by Tom Shankland, and Maserati: The Brothers directed by Oscar winner Bobby Moresco with Al Pacino, Jessica Alba, Anthony Hopkins and Andy Garcia.
