- Learned to play the violin when she was 6 years old. Her sister Caroline was meant to learn it but wasn't interested, so Sharon took it up instead. She has played in an orchestra, and is a qualified instructor.

- In 2012 Sharon and her ex-husband Gavin Bonnar and children Cathal and Flori went to live to Andorra, in the Pyrenees.
