    Despite not being an original cast member, she appeared in nearly every season of The Young and the Restless (1973)--the exceptions were in late January 1981, when her longtime friend Beverly Garland filled in for her due to illness; for six episodes in August 1986, when Gisele MacKenzie, took over also due to her illness; and in October 2011, when she took a medical leave and was temporarily replaced by Michael Learned. Cooper returned to her role in December of that year.
