Shirl Conway was born on 13 June 1916 in Franklinville, New York, USA. She was an actress, known for The Nurses (1962), Helter Skelter (1949) and Route 66 (1960). She was married to Gordon Pendleton Larson, Bernie Wayne, Bill Johnson and Edward Haller Replogle. She died on 7 May 2007 in Shelton, Washington, USA.

Began her career as a model with the John Robert Powers Agency and as a
nightclub singer.

Best known for her role as head nurse Liz Thorpse on the TV drama
<a class="ipc-md-link ipc-md-link--entity" href="/title/tt0055694/?ref_=nmtrv_trv">The Nurses (1962)</a>, for which she received an Emmy nomination.

Won a Theatre World Award for her work in the 1955 Broadway musical
&quot;Plain and Fancy&quot;. She and one-time husband appeared together in the
Broadway show &quot;Banjo Eyes&quot; which starred <a class="ipc-md-link ipc-md-link--entity" href="/name/nm0134662/?ref_=nmtrv_trv">Eddie Cantor</a>.

Moved to Washington State in the early 1970s and performed locally on
stage.
