Biography

Patricio Contreras was born on December 15, 1947 in Santiago de Chile, Chile. He is an actor, known for The Official Story (1985), Sex with Love (2003) and Made in Argentina (1987). He was previously married to Leonor Manso.

He was an outstanding theater actor in his country until he was presented with the highest award given to actors in those days. After that he migrated to Argentina, where he has lived until the present (2004).

When he was a school boy, he used to skip classes to go playing pool.

Has a daughter, Paloma Contreras, with ex-wife Leonor Manso.

The first time I saw theater for adult I had a sense of contradiction: on the one I hand enjoyed that what I saw and, on the other, was suffering from not be I who was up there.

I seek to be consistent with what we declare. Ethics is a practice, not a lie.

My aunts told me I was lying and "Oh, how beautiful is Patito" And for a while I believed it, but I knew that adolescence was not pretty, the girls did not like my, went wrong. Until, at age 16, I enrolled in drama school and found the stage: this is where I feel freer.
