Biography

Paul Conradi is known for Hamlet (1921), Der Mann mit den sieben Masken (1918) and Du Mädel vom Rhein (1922).

His last cinematical works came in the 20s into being. To these silent movies belong "Der Kampf der Geschlechter" (1920), "Hamlet" (1921) where he impersonated the role of King Hamlet at the side of Asta Nielsen and Eduard von Winterstein, in the role of foreman "Der Schatz der Gesine Jakobsen" (1923) with Wilhelm Diegelmann, Ludwig Hartau and Frida Richard and "Ein Mordsmädel" (1927).

From the middle of the 10s he took part regular in front of the camera, among them in the movies "Das Ende vom Liede" (1915), as Don Cairo in "Carmen" (1919) directed by Ernst Lubitsch with Pola Negri and Harry Liedtke in the leading roles, "Der Mann mit den sieben Masken" (19) and "Retter der Menschheit" (1919).

The actor Paul Conradi was active at the theater before he appeared in his first movie "Sumurun" (1910).
