Biography

Leo Connard was born on August 28, 1860 in Fünfkirchen, Austrian Empire [now Hungary]. He was an actor and director, known for Louise de Lavallière (1922), Wallenstein, 2. Teil - Wallensteins Tod (1925) and Wallenstein, 1. Teil - Wallensteins Macht (1925). He died on June 21, 1931 in Berlin, Germany.

His film career ended with the rise of the sound film era.

Leo Connard came to Berlin in 1895 where he appeared at well-known theaters like the Lessingtheater and the Berliner Theater.

Leo Connard was married with the actress Marie "Mizzi" Lettau.

He got in touch with the film business in 1916 and he became a demanded movie actor in the next few years.

The actor Leo Connard joined an acting education at the conservatory in Vienna and afterwards he made his stage debut in Marburg in 1879. In the next years he got engagements at different theaters in Germany and single tours led him even till Russia.
