Biography

John Compton was born on June 21, 1923 in Lynchburg, Tennessee, USA. He was an actor, known for Jesse James Rides Again (1947), Navy Bound (1951) and TV Reader's Digest (1955). He was married to Angela Hancock. He died on May 12, 2015 in Los Angeles, California, USA.

In the 1960's, John Compton (Tolley) began a successful journey as a real estate developer in the Hollywood Hills and Laurel Canyon area. He bought one house, borrowed against it, and later bought another. It grew from there.

Mother- Ethel L. Comptom Tolley Father- Lemuel (Lem) Tolley- Master Distiller Jack Daniel's Distillery 1941 to 1964 Sisters- Marjorie and Lilie June Is the great, great nephew of Jack Daniel. Was an avid trapper and outdoorsman in Moore County. Purported to have trapped the largest mink ever trapped in Moore County.

Survived by his wife Angela and sister June.
