Harry Colomby was born on 20 August 1929 in Berlin, Germany. He was a producer and writer, known for Breakdown (1997), Mr. Mom (1983) and Johnny Dangerously (1984). He was married to Chigusta 'Lee' Respicio. He died on 25 December 2021 in Los Angeles, California, USA.

Received a teaching degree from Columbia University.

He taught English and History at Bay Ridge, Far Rockaway and Plainview high schools.
